MEDICARE OPEN ENROLLMENT - ENDS DECEMBER 7

Medicare plans change year-over-year. The 2026 Medicare Open Enrollment period is now open until December 7, 2025. During this time, you can compare and enroll in, or switch between, Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Prescription Drug (Part D) plans for changes to take effect on January 1, 2026. Oak Park Township Senior Services serves as the SHIP coordinators for Oak Park and River Forest. PROPERTY TAXES DUE DECEMBER 15

Second Installment Tax Bills were mailed on November 14 and will be due by December 15, 2025. Property tax bills are now available online. You may view, print, and pay your 2024 Second Installment Property Tax Bill at the Cook County Treasurer’s website.

CONGRATS TO OUR NEW TOWNSHIP CLERK -
MARK HOSTY

On November 18, the Township Board appointed Mark Hosty to fill the vacancy as Township Clerk for the term expiring May 2029. Mark has been serving on the Youth & Family Services Committee for the last two years. He brings tremendous experience having served as a Commissioner in the Village of Forest Park from 1999-2016. On behalf of the entire Township, we want to congratulate Mark on his appointment

RIVER FOREST CIVIC CENTER AUTHORITY (RFCCA)

The Authority remains committed to working with the Community Center to resolve the RFCC ongoing breaches in the 2023 Lease agreement and to amend the lease. Please note until a new agreement is in place, the Community Center remains responsible for all interior cleaning and exterior maintenance including snow removal for the building. Please contact the Community Center to ensure RFCC follows their obligations and/or approves a new agreement by year-end.
