Prevention Services
Township Youth & Family Services of Oak Park and River Forest offers a Prevention Services Department that works to underage substance abuse. We provide support through education and raising awareness to many of the physical and mental health challenges facing youth and their families which result from underage alcohol, marijuana, vaping, and other substance abuse. As a way to educate and bring awareness of these issues, we offer many resources and programs within the community.
Positive Youth Development
Prevention Services is the home of Positive Youth Development (PYD), a community partnership dedicated to:
addressing permissive social norms
reducing substance use among youth
supporting our youth in making healthy choices
