The Township has no full-time employees; it has (1) part-time employee and its elected officials and works primarily through Intergovernmental Agreements and our agency partners. We are currently seeking a part-time Assessor and a part-time Township Supervisor.

With the upcoming retirement of Supervisor Becvar, a new Township Supervisor will be appointed to fulfill the remaining term through May 2029. To be considered for the vacancy, you must be a registered voter who has resided in River Forest, Illinois for at least one year. The position requires a minimum of 1000 hours per year (half of which in the Township office) and pays $49,382 per year. Additionally, we rely on citizen volunteers to advise on needs and funding priorities and to help with youth, family, mental health and senior services.
