Youth Programs Funded by River Forest Township

Grant applications for FY26 are now closed. The following Community Youth Programs are currently funded by River Forest Township:

  • River Forest Community Safety (formerly known as I-Search) - personal safety curriculum program in partnership with the River Forest Police Department for Grades K, 2, 4, 6 and 8 in River Forest Schools on topics such as “stranger danger”, cyber safety, and safe relationships. The curriculum is designed to foster a secure and supportive environment for students, staff, and families within the River Forest community. This rebranding of the previous "ISEARCH" program reflects a broader, community-centric approach to safety and well-being.

  • 9-11 Lemonaid - kids helping kids each September 11th on Bonnie Brae is now a River Forest Township program.

  • Connections - after school program for Roosevelt Middle School students at the River Forest Library

  • STEM Robotics at Concordia University

  • Intramurals - afterschool program at OPRF High School

  • Wonder Works Childrens’ Museum

  • Clean Up Give Back - teen group focused on cleaning up our environment.
