Voter Registration

The Township Clerk, in addition to maintaining all Township records, conducts voter registrations (at least 30 days before an election) and assists with local elections run by Cook County Clerk’s Election Division Office. Call or email the Township Clerk if you need help, or have voter registration or filing questions.

Note River Forest voters may early vote at any suburban Cook County location including Oak Park Village Hall or the Maywood Courthouse. River Forest does not have any early voting sites.

Cook County Clerk Elections has a Permanent Vote By Mail option.

Visit cookcountyclerkil.gov/pvbm where you will have the option to make any changes to your permanent vote by mail status, instantly online. For more information about voting by mail, please call 312.603.0946, or email [email protected]. On the Cook County website you can:

  • Make party primary ballot preference changes.

  • Change address ballot will be mailed to. (Please note this does not include changing your voter registration address).

  • Opt-in/Opt-out of permanent vote by mail.
