Notary Public
The Township office provides the services of a notary public. There is no charge for this service. Any document needing to be notarized must be signed in the presence of the notary.
Please call the Clerk at 708.366.2029 or email: Clerk@RiverForestTownship.org ahead of time to ensure the availability of the notary. Depending on our schedule, we may be able to come to you. You will need to bring a valid State ID or Driver’s License with you. If you need witnesses, please arrange to bring them with you as our office often only has one person in it at a time.
The State of Illinois prohibits a Notary Public from notarizing certain types of documents. The Township of River Forest will not notarize any document(s) involving a document of conveyance transferring or purporting to transfer title to residential real property located in Cook County (5ILCS 312/3-102). We recommend all persons contact an attorney or title company to notarize these documents.
