  • 2024 Second Installment Tax Bills Issued

    Second Installment Tax Bills were mailed on November 14th and will be due by December 15th, 2025.

    Looking for your paper tax bill?
    Paper bills were mailed Friday, November 14th, 2025.

    The due date for second installment tax bills is Monday, December 15th, 2025.

    Bills are now available online. You may view, print, and pay your 2024 Second Installment Property Tax Bill by following the link below.

  • Apply by December 1st to fill Trustee Vacancy

    A Township Trustee will be appointed to fulfill the remaining term through May 2029. To be considered for the 2025-’29 vacancy, you must be a registered voter who has resided in River Forest, Illinois for at least one year and provide your completed application package to the Township Supervisor by December 1st. The appointed trustee will work alongside the current Board members to address key issues and ensure the continued delivery of essential services to residents.

  • Medicare Open Enrollment - Ends December 7

    Medicare plans change year-over-year. The 2026 Medicare Open Enrollment period is now open until December 7, 2025. During this time, you can compare and enroll in, or switch between, Medicare Advantage (Part C) and Prescription Drug (Part D) plans. Changes you make will take effect on January 1, 2026.     We act as a taxpayer advocate for local residents in the Cook County property tax system. Our goal is to ensure taxpayers’ property is fairly and accurately assessed. We are available to help with your property tax inquiries, including exemptions and appeals.

    We provide a full array of services to older adults and individuals with disabilities, such as meals, transportation, care management, information/referral, as well as various support programs and educational events.

  • Youth & Family Services

    Youth & Family Services

    We contract with local agencies to provide an array of educational, mentoring, recreational, and financial assistance programs to support our youth, in addition to offering our own Youth Engagement Program.

  • Mental Health Services

    Mental Health & I/DD Services

    We support residents with mental health needs, developmental disabilities, and substance use issues, through our own programs and those of the agencies we fund.

    Resident Assistance Services

    We offer a variety of services including general assistance, emergency assistance, access to a notary, medical equipment lending library, voter registration and referrals to non-profits and government entities near River Forest.
